This little boy, like many other children, is fed with what his mother (in the background) collects from the garbage dump. Still, his eyes are lively, his smile true. The Sambaiatuba landfill is located in the city of São Vicente, on the coast of the state of São Paulo. Many families take their livelihoods from there.
Here is a little piece of Brazil, a country of exuberant nature, beautiful and joyful people, but also of very rich people and very poor people. A land of contrasts.
