In Madrid, there are close to 2,000 homeless people. Almost half of them literally sleep on the street. During the day, most work or go out in search of money, food or clothes, leaving their belongings and shelters behind for everyone to see.
These are only some of the places where these people spend the night.
Biography
Born in Palma de Mallorca in 1979, he has a degree in Media Studies by the Complutense University of Madrid and a Master in Documentary and Narration in Photography and Video by the EFTI School of Photography.
After a stint in video and television, he decided to focus his career on photography, working freelance for the press and collaborating with publications such as Altaïr or Lonely Planet.
His personal work revolves around themes like overcrowding, the impact of human beings on the planet and the day-today life of cities and their inhabitants. His interest in other cultures and ways of life has also been a source of inspiration for a great deal of his output. He has taken part in collective exhibitions in the Círculo de Bellas Artes, the National Anthropology Museum and the Royal Botanical Garden, of Madrid, and has held individual exhibitions in small venues around the Spanish capital.
