Photography and migration

On the occasion of the 23rd edition of the Luis Valtueña Award, we are organizing Miércoles de foto, a space to dialogue and share with the authors about their works and the topics they address.

Due to the state of health alarm, we are in Spain, these sessions are now held online with live transmissions from our account on Instagram.

The third session will be with Javier Fergo, the first finalist of the Luis Valtueña Award 2019. He will talk about his series El último viaje de Zohra Sarrouj (Zohra Sarrouj´s Last Journey), which shows that we do not see. The emotional burden that comes with family after the death of a loved one. Through his photos, he humanizes the drama of migration.

We encourage you to send your comments and questions to the author through the stories or during the live on our Instagram account.

Wednesday, April 15 via Instagram Live at @premioluisvaltuena
18 hrs. (Madrid) | 12 hrs. (New York)
