Presentation
This photograph was taken in an open-pit diamond mine, where hundreds of people work with totally archaic resources. The earth is moved with picks and shovels, transported with wooden carts moved by hand, and the cleaning and sifting of the earth are done on the shores of the lake, taking advantage of the lake’s water… now and then they find a small crystal that allows them to survive for a few more days…
